Important Information for Agents
Online Payments is a service for our insureds. As an agent, you may occasionally need to help the insured through the payment process or post a payment on their behalf. Here are some things to keep in mind.
- Do not make a payment without the insured's direct authorization.
- Do not make a payment with a check unless it is made out to Southern Mutual. Mail a payment to Southern Mutual instead.
- Do not make a payment with 3rd party checks. Mail a payment to Southern Mutual instead.
- Do not keep undeposited checks in your file.
- You may make a payment from your agency account when funds are deposited there.
Following these guidelines will reduce returned check fees charged to your agency.
